Product: Orenosp Secure Reverse Proxy

Orenosp provides both proxy and SSL service for web applications to users outside our network via the Internet. External users are allowed HTTPS access to our Orenosp server, and then Orenosp communicates with the inside hosts with HTTP. This of course encrypts traffic that leaves the network as well as places the proxy between users and our critical systems.

We have dozens of potential users, the majority outside physicians and staff, however many do not connect every day. There are at most have between 5 and 10 individual users per day. The importance of our reverse proxy is far greater than the low number of users suggest. Prior to Orenosp, we used a complicated IPSec solution to provide VPN access for these users. Now any physician can get what they need, from anywhere, without installing IPSec clients. This means lower overhead for our department in supporting these users and encourages them to use the system with its simplicity.
